Abstract

The aim of the present study was to assess the correlation between aldosterone and blood pressure levels among 575 resistant hypertensive patients depending on office BP, who were diagnosed as essential hypertensive patients after extensive examination. All the patients were recruited from the Department of Hypertension in Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai. The 24h ambulatory blood pressure was measured under drug taking. Therefore, the ambulatory blood pressure remained normal for 85 patients after administrating just three kinds of antihypertensive drugs.
