Abstract
Depending on the kind of Al addition (Al, Al 2O 3), two Al-containing phases and an Nd-rich, Fe-poor phase occur besides the hardmagnetic phase Nd 2Fe 14B, the Nd-rich fcc phase and the B-rich phase Nd 5Fe 2B 6. Al addition nearly halves the wetting angle of the liquid phase during liquid phase sintering.
