Abstract
The 95Mo NMR properties of cis-dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes with various dithiocarbamates [MoO 2(R 2dtc) 2] (R 2dtc −: dithiocarbamates, R = CH 3, C 2H 5 i-C 3H 7, i-C 4H 9, C 6H 5, C 6H 5CH 2) have been investigated. The chemical shifts varied from δ = 151 (R = CH 3) to δ = 216 (R = i-C 3H 7) depending on the nature of the substituents on the dithiocarbamate ligands, and they were found to be in a good correlation with the rate constants for the oxygen atom transfer reaction between [MoO 2(R 2dtc) 2] and triphenylphosphine in 1,2-C 2H 4,Cl 2.
