Abstract

AbstractA lattice‐gas model is used for calculating the solubilities of light gases in heavy complex hydrocarbons. For waxes, the model gives a good prediction of the solubilities on using the molecular weight of the liquid to describe the solvent. For crude oils and coal‐derived liquids, the prediction is of only modest quality. However, it does improve on using experimental Henry's constants.
