Abstract
The generator coordinate method is applied to the one-dimensional model problem of two particles in an infinite potential well with a delta-function repulsion potential between them. The aim is to produce a simple example involving correlated wavefunctions, accessible to undergraduate and graduate students in the area of quantum mechanics.
