Abstract
We regret that an editorial note in the December 1995 issue, following Dennis Merrill's review of Illusions of Influence by Nick Cullather (p. 1276), misstated our policy. It is our policy that staff members not write reviews for the Journal. It is also our policy not to exclude works by staff members from review, but a staff member who is the author of a work does not participate in choosing the reviewer for it.
