[1] This correction is the most recent, and it supersedes the previous correction (paper 2005WR004667) to the original article (2005WR004018). [2] In the paper ‘‘A theoretical exploration of catchmentscale sediment delivery’’ by Hua Lu, C. J. Moran, and Murugesu Sivapalan (Water Resources Research, 41, W09415, doi:10.1029/2005WR004018, 2005) the functional form for the peak-value-based specific sediment yield (yp) presented in equation (17) is incorrect. The twostorage, lumped linear model of sediment transport (i.e., equations (14) and (15)) could result in two local maxima rather than just one. The global peak value of specific sediment yield should be of the form
