Abstract
An algorithm for the correction of multiple errors and detection of additive overflow in a redundant residue number system (RRNS) is presented. Algorithms for special cases, viz., single burst residue-error and single residue digit-error, are also given. A comparative study from the point of view of redundancy and modular operations has been carried out with respect to some existing algorithms.
