Abstract

The study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of angiotensin II receptor antagonist eprosartan according to its effects on blood pressure (BP) and cognitive function in 56 patients with Stage I-II arterial hypertension (AH) associated with light and moderate cognitive disturbances. Six-month monotherapy with eprosartan resulted with multiple beneficial effects: target BP level achievement, circadian BP profile normalization and improvement of some cognitive function (perception, memory and concentration).
