Abstract

The usual problem of correction of atmospheric scattering effects involves the inverse process of a nonlinear partial differential equation in three-dimensional space. The method developed here involves solving three initial value partial differential equations. Two of them are Chandrasekhar's type one- dimensional radiative transfer equations. The third equation is a linear partial differential equation in three-dimensional space with initial value.
