Abstract
The correction of a split nail deformity of many years' duration was undertaken. The deformity was troublesome to the patient and had become the site of a fungus infection that was difficult to eradicate. A simple operative procedure to reconstruct the nail bed resulted in a satisfactory correction of the deformity.
