Abstract

Interview with George S. Dively. George S. Dively joined Harris-Intertype Corporation in 1937 and became president in 1947. In 1954, he assumed the additional post of chairman of the board, and held both offices concurrently until 1961. Mr. Dively is a Fellow and a director of the American Management Association, and a director of the Warner and Swasey Company, the White Motor Corporation, and the Central National Bank of Cleveland. He also is a trustee and vice-chairman of Case Western Reserve University, a director of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association, and a co-founder of the Corporate One Percent Program for Higher Education.
