Abstract

Some pluralists critical of corporate power, are inclined to reconsider aspects of democratic theory. Neoconservatives, on the other hand, contend that, in terms of political power, American business has been losing ground during the last several decades. Professor Joseph urges a structural approach to the study of corporate political power implicit in the work of Charles Lindblom and in neo-Marxist analyses of the liberal-democratic state.
