Abstract

For much of the early part of the last decade, the focus of Australian cartel law and enforcement was on the introduction and implementation of a criminal regime for cartel conduct, a reform supported by Professor Baxt consistent with his long-standing advocacy of effective enforcement of competition law during his tenure as a leading academic and practitioner in the field and as Chairman of the (then) Trade Practices Commission.
