Corporate activity of domestic agrarian libraries on formation of the integrated branch information resource: a condition and prospects

Abstract

The article analyzes the activity of the National Scientific Agricultural Library of NAAS as a coordination and methodological center of the network of agricultural libraries in the issue of corporate interaction with the subordinate network. The main achievements of the National Scientific Agricultural Library of NAAS and the network of agricultural libraries in this direction are described. In particular, in the issue of cataloging and work on the corporate project "AgroCARS" on the exchange of analytical bibliographic records of periodicals and continuing publications on agricultural topics, the formation of an electronic distribution resource of agricultural libraries of Ukraine online. The corporate interaction of the National Scientific Agricultural Library with the subordinate network for compiling bio- and bibliographic indexes is considered. Thus, the dynamics of the formation of indexes of the series "Academicians of NAAS", "Correspondent Members of NAAS" and "Bibliography of agricultural scientists" were analyzed. The cooperation of agrarian libraries on the formation of a bibliographic index series of foreign publications entitled "Foreign agricultural book in the funds of NSАL NAAS, SRI and universities of agricultural profile" was studied. In total, 11 bibliographic indexes were prepared and published in this series. The importance of raising the professional level of librarians, especially those who take part in corporate interaction, is noted. The role of the National Scientific Agricultural Library in improving the professional competence of librarians has been clarified, first of all, through conducting annual advanced training courses for librarians and a conference. The work carried out by the Main Libraries of Territorial Associations of Agricultural Libraries in matters of corporate interaction is reflected. In particular, scientific libraries of Sumy National Agrarian University, Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, Vinnytsia National Agrarian University and Lviv National Agrarian University. The problems that arise in the "participants" of corporate interaction and ways to solve them are presented.
