Abstract
The danger of direct damage to the coronary arteries by cannulation for coronary perfusion is increased in the presence of a dissecting aneurysm involving the aortic root. Avoidance of direct coronary cannulation in this circumstance is recommended, and a technique involving aortic root perfusion is described.
