Abstract

Congenital left main coronary artery ostial atresia (LMCAOA) is an extremely rare coronary anomaly, and, thus far, there are only approximately 100 cases reported in the literature.1 Patch ostioplasty is gradually becoming the major surgical technique to treat LMCAOA, rather than coronary artery bypass graft.2-4 Ostioplasty without a patch has never been reported in the literature, with the exception of 1 case of ostial dilatation. However, the patient in that case did not survive the surgery, and the details of the procedure were not described.
