Abstract
Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is an uncommon cardiovascular disorder characterized by diffuse dilatation of the coronary arteries, which can be complicated by thrombosis and myocardial infarction. We present the case of a 44-year-old man with a history of CAE complicated by prior inferior ST-elevation myocardial infarction, who presented with acute-onset substernal chest pain 3 weeks after stopping outpatient apixaban.
