Abstract

Abstract : The distribution of ionization states in carbon, aluminum, copper, and tungsten plasmas is determined from the Corona model equilibrium. The variation of mean ionization level, internal energy, and radiation rates with temperature are then determined by averaging over the ionization states. Results are presented in a form which allow th reader to easily use them with plasma fluid equations in order to describe the dynamics of an radiation from high atomic plasmas. (Author)
