Abstract
SummaryIn late follow‐up after lamellar or penetrating keratoplasty dystrophic corneas can develop again changes in the stroma. Advanced analysis of corneal morphology and morphometry based on OCT devices can predict such pathology. More specific imaging for early deposits delivers confocal microscopy. Analysis of corneal collagen layers, stromal keratinocytes and extracellular matrix deposits shows natural recurrence of the disease in transplanted cornea.
