Abstract

Abstract ‘NK-199’ sweet corn was planted 8 Jun 1990 at the Arkansas Valley Research Center, Rocky Ford, CO. At silk emergence, 25-ft × 4-row plots were established, arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. Sprays (Sevin SL, Pounce, Karate, Margosan-O) were applied 1 and 8 Aug in a hand-operated compressed air-sprayer delivering 43 gal/acre, directed at the ear zone. Entomopathogenic nematodes (BioSafe) were applied 8 Aug, directed at the ear tip. Dusts (Ryan-50) were applied 1 and 8 Aug using a Dustin-Mizer®, directed at the ear zone. Plots were evaluated 22 Aug, examining 50 ears/plot.
