Abstract

Coriolis mass flow meters provide accurate measurement of single phase flows. However, gas-liquid two phase flow may cause severe operating difficulties as well as measurement errors. A new digital Coriolis transmitter was developed by Oxford University. This enables Coriolis meters to operate in highly aerated fluids. Apart from improved accuracy when compared with its analogue counterpart, the transmitter design allows repeatable two-phase flow response to be made.
