Back Cover: In article number 1900148 by Timothy F. L. McKenna and co-workers, a two-step semi-batch process is proposed to create core–shell latex particles that serve the dual purpose of enhancing the adhesion of the layers in an aluminum-PET laminate and enhancing the barrier properties of the final material. A hydrophobic core surrounded by a softer adhesive shell gives positive results. Post-reactor formulation further improves the final properties.
