Abstract

Aims/objectives: The multidisciplinary one-stop neck lump clinic at King's College Hospital has been operational for just over two years. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon, a haematologist, a radiologist, a cytologist and a specialist nurse deliver in-clinic ultrasonography, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and more recently core biopsies (CB). We carried out an audit to assess the impact of CB on the number of open lymph node biopsies required.
