Abstract

800x600 Ozet Bu calismada, cografya ogretmenlerinin alternatif olcme ve degerlendirme tekniklerini kullanma durumlarini tespit etmek amaclanmistir. Bunun yani sira ogretmenlerin bu tekniklerle iliskili karsilastiklari sorunlar, avantajlar ve hizmet ici egitim ihtiyaclari hakkindaki gorusleri de belirlenmistir. Arastirmada tarama (survey) yontemi kullanilmistir. Arastirma Trabzon, Giresun, Ordu ve Rize’ de gorev yapan 108 cografya ogretmeni ile yurutulmustur. Veri toplamak araci olarak, Cepni ve arkadaslari (2011) tarafindan ogretmenlerin alternatif olcme ve degerlendirmeye yonelik ihtiyaclarini belirlemek amaciyla gelistirilen anket kullanilmistir. Veriler SPSS 16 windows paket programi kullanilarak analiz edilmistir. Arastirma sonunda ogretmenlerin alternatif olcme degerlendirme tekniklerinden cok, geleneksel teknikleri kullandiklari tespit edilmistir. Arastirma sonuclarina dayali olarak bazi onerilerde bulunulmustur. Anahtar kelimler: Cografya, olcme degerlendirme, Alternatif olcme teknikleri Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the level of use of alternative techniques for measurement and assessment of geography teachers. Besides, benefits and challenges encountered by teachers and their ideas about the in-service training are determined. Survey method is used in the research. The research is conducted with 108 geography teachers working in Trabzon, Giresun, Ordu and Rize. The questionnaire, developed by Cepni et all. (2011) to determine the needs of teachers for alternative measurement and assessment, is applied as data collection tool. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 16 Windows packet program. At the end of the research it is found that teachers use traditional techniques more than alternative measurement and assessment techniques. Some suggestions are offered based on these results.
