Abstract

I review empirical research into copyright law. Specifically, I review: (i) Measurement of creative output and copying; (ii) How changes in copyright law (duration, depth, and breadth) affect the expected earnings of creators of new work; and (iii) The creators’ elasticity of supply of new work. I also point to directions for future empirical research.
