Abstract

AbstractThe first example of merging photoredox catalysis and copper catalysis for 1,4‐difunctionalization of 1,3‐enynes via 1,5‐HAT (hydrogen atom transfer) has been developed. The synthetic strategy exploits a radical translocation from an oxygen‐centered to a carbon‐centered radical with a subsequent radical addition to the 1,3‐enynes, affording tetrasubstituted allenenitriles in up to 90% yield. This strategy has mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance.
