Abstract

This article discusses problems related to bibliographic control and acquisition of Latin American serials, and some recent political and economic developments which have seriously hampered the regular flow of Latin American publications. The absence of commercial serials agents precludes centralized ordering; methods of payment followed by foreign institutions are also discussed.
