Abstract

Once in a while a book comes along that on the surface looks like a difficult read and something just for the academic’s shelf. This is just one of those books. On the outside it appears to offer little talking of ‘experiences of family members’ and has a long list of authors. Yet inside there is a wealth of useful information. Having got past the first chapter it becomes one of the books that anyone working with substance misuse should have access to, providing useful guidance.
