Abstract

Proposals to establish social-medical centers in Norway have met with political and professional resistance, although informal coordination between the affected agencies has been a popular experiment. This paper considers issues raised by the proposals and suggests ways to make the coordination work. Some lessons are pointed out for application in other settings.
