Abstract
The problem of coordination in global health has been raised often,1 but there is frequently not enough clarity about the two key dimensions of this coordination. One is the overall coordination of development aid across topics and the coordination of donors at country level; these are addressed through ongoing processes such the Paris Declaration on aid effectiveness2 and “one UN”.3 The other is to establish a transparent, accountable, and democratic mechanism of setting global health agendas that brings WHO member states together with influential global health actors in a new way.
