Abstract
Relations are obtained to express the dependence of the impact energy of an air hammer on its parameters and the capacity of the power source. It is shown that an air distribution which increases the ratio of the duration of the return piston stroke to the duration of the forward piston stroke also increases impact energy when air consumption is limited.
