Abstract

Demand response (DR) scheme is more and more important nowadays as it could shift loads to reduce the total energy cost. In this regard, the coordinated operation of an islanded multi-energy microgrid (IMEMG) is studied considering the DR scheme. Here, the DR scheme is the direct load control for multiple energies. The objective is minimizing the net operating cost under the all the operational constraints. For the direct load control, if the energy generation is more than the consumption, the system will cut loads, while if less, the generation will be curtailed. In addition, to reduce the computation burden, the original nonlinear problem is linearized, thus, the operation problem is now a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem. Afterward, the industrial-proven solver Cplex is used to get the solution. Finally, the effectiveness of our method is compared with corresponding case studies.
