Abstract

In order to perceive the challenging goals set for 5G, a significant amount of future network performance improvements will be established by network infrastructure densification with increase in the density of operator deployed infrastructure elements. The number of operator deployed serving/access nodes will densify in such a manner that it will be comparable to or even transcend the density of user equipments (UEs) taking us forward to the new paradigm of Ultra-dense network (UDN). In such a backdrop, routing mechanisms are expected to be more objective oriented ensuring greater link reliability and enhancing quality of service of the dense network. The proposed work focuses on these aspects and shall cover the cooperative transmission mechanisms of routing in upcoming ultra dense wireless networks which shall be the arteries of data communication of the near future.
