Abstract The dynamic behavior of molecules in highly viscous liquids has been investigated from both spectroscopic and structural points of view. The properties discussed are longitudinal modulus, dielectric relaxation, structure factor obtained from X ray diffraction patterns, and Raman scattering between room temperature and near glass transition temperature.
