Abstract

In this work, we develop improved consensus observers and distributed cooperative controllers for respective AC and DC sub-grids to achieve minimized cost. On this basis, an effective and simple power management strategy is proposed to generate the proper power reference for the bi-directional interlinking converter (BIC), hence, realizing global economic dispatch throughout the hybrid MG. The proposed solution eliminates the voltage deviation, and it is also resilient to communication failure and capable of plug-and-play. To validate the effectiveness of our proposed solution, comprehensive case studies are conducted via a lab-built hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test bench. The results reveal that the proposed cooperative control approach can drive all DGs to a minimized total cost, meanwhile, eliminates the voltage deviations.
