Abstract

During the power supply shortage caused by the fault of traction power supply system in metro line, it is necessary to maintain the line capacity in the undersupplied area by taking dispatching measures. To deal with this disruption management problem, a cooperative control method is novelly proposed in this paper. In the method, an imaginary section approach is developed to transform the disruption management problem into the cooperative control problem. Then, the cooperative control model is formulated based on the space-time-speed network approach, where the objective function is maximizing the line capacity during the disruption. Next, the deep Q-network algorithm is applied to solve the problem. Finally, a case study based on real-world data is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared to the train rescheduling method which is currently adopted by dispatchers, the line capacity can be increased by up to 78.0% when the proposed method is used.
