Abstract
1.1. With the decline in the incidence of eclampsia, especially in the northeastern section of the United States, convulsions or coma in pregnancy are more often due to independent intracranial or metabolic complications.2.2. Intracranial complications producing convulsions or coma in pregnancy are more common than generally realized.3.3. A 10 year survey of convulsions and coma in pregnancy occurring at the Coney Island Hospital has been made.4.4. Intracranial disorders were three and one-half times more frequent than eclampsia as a cause of convulsions or coma.
