Abstract
A combination of metal-supported catalysts with vesicles successfully achieved a conversion of glycerol to lactic acid (lactate) under the mild heated and alkaline condition. The high reaction yield (reaction temperature: 333 K; yield: 90% for 24 h) was achieved, which was an environmentally-friendly reaction process.
