Abstract
This paper discusses the convergence of the finite element approximation for the forward problem of electrical impedance tomography with the complete electrode model. When the domain is polygonal and conforming finite element method is employed with linear triangle or tetrahedron elements, we prove that the estimated voltages on the electrodes converge to the true ones up to an additive constant, as the sizes of elements in the underlying mesh all tend to zero.
