Abstract

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding sufficient conditions to guarantee convergence of nonlinear discrete-time and asynchronous systems and networks. Contraction analysis is extended to this class of dynamical systems and then applied to investigate strategies to achieve cluster synchronization in discrete-time and asynchronous networks. The theoretical results are illustrated via a set of representative examples.
