AbstractAn investigation about the kinetic of the curing process of an epoxy resin and its mechanical characterization has been performed. An assessment about the existence of the “specific microwave effect” has been carried out and the possible improvement of the microwave absorption of the epoxy resins by the addition of a suscepting material has been studied. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
