Abstract
A method is described for studying convective heat transfer in transverse flow over a wire, from the temperature dependence of the heat transfer coefficients. A formula has been obtained for calculating convective heat transfer in gas flow over a. wire, for temperature differences up to 1000°C and Re values from 0.14 to 2.
