Abstract
We present our experimental demonstration of controlling waveform of a signal pulse by using two beams of continuous wave (CW) generated by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in optical fibers with different frequencies. Waveform of the signal pulse is modulated in an “all-optical” way according to total input power. This method is only suitable for light pulse with nanosecond width. We provide a new method for controlling light with light.
