Abstract
A convexity model is used to predict the catalytic performance of Pd catalysts in acetylene semi-hydrogenation. The surface Pdδ− species determines the catalytic activity and selectivity, and the Pd–Nx (Pdδ+) species regulates the catalyst stability.
