Abstract

In this study, we prepared pristine TiO2 nanoparticles with RT ferromagnetism using a pulverizing method. Annealing under gas circumstances (H2, O2, vacuum) confirmed the controlling possibility of the magnetism, including diamagnetism, paramagnetism, and ferromagnetism, of nanoparticles. Our findings showed that saturation magnetization is also controllable. This result is of great importance in the realization of Si-based spintronics devices because no prohibited transition metal elements were used in this study.
