Abstract

A procedure for designing filtering systems of high-power microwave electronic tubes is presented. A quantitative criterion of quality of tuning is given. In simulating a filtering system, it is proposed to use a prototype cavity with specified properties rather than a structurally complex active cavity. An implementation of the proposed procedure is shown using, as an example, a three-section filter of a multiple-beam klystron.
