Controlling Central Nervous System Leukemia: Does the Extent of the Radiation Therapy Field Influence Outcomes?

Abstract

Radiation therapy (RT) is commonly used for adults patients affected with central nervous system (CNS) leukemia. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential benefit on CNS recurrence and event free survival (EFS) according to the extent of radiation fields used: craniospinal (CS), whole brain (WB) and base of skull (BOS).
