Abstract

The problem of the potential-controlled discharge of a positive ion on a plane parallel electrode coated by a dielectric layer is treated. The charge is assumed to go through the dielectric via complexation with a neutral ion carrier while all the chemical reactions are supposed to take place at the boundaries. Different assumptions about the potential profile in the dielectric are considered. The physical differential equation system is transformed to an equivalent integral one which can be resolved numerically by the Laplace transform technique.
