Abstract

In controlled anthelmintic trials of levamisole, administered to lambs orally or by subcutaneous injection at a dose rate of 7.5 mg/kg, drug efficiencies greater than 95% were found against third- and fourth-stage larvae, and immature and mature fifth-stage worms of Ostertagia circumcincta and Trichostrongylus colubriformis.
